Interview with Phil Neville....

This is taken from a piece about him in the Mirror.

"No matter how long I was at United," Neville said, "I was felt like I was the youngest of the bunch.

"I always looked up to people like Keano, Gary, Giggsy and Scholesy. I looked to them for inspiration.

"But now people are looking to me to set an example. I don't want this to sound big-headed but some people look up to me at Goodison.

"And I've loved having that kind of responsibility. I was ready for it at this stage of my career. I feel I have got something to give.

"Even though we didn't get off to the best start, from day one, I have loved every single minute of it at Everton.

"I haven't had a bad day yet. The weeks have absolutely flown by. The manager, the players and the supporters have all been unbelievable to me.

"They call Everton the People's Club and if you give them 110per cent and plenty of hard graft, you're on your way." Hard graft has never been a problem for Neville.

Recognition maybe. Popular acclaim, too.

But everything comes to he who waits. And no one deserves their moment in the sun more than the younger brother who won the man-of-the-match at Old Trafford on Sunday.
