David Moyes is being linked with a January transfer move to try and land out of favour Blackburn striker Matt Jansen. Blackburn boss Mark Hughes insists Jansen is still in his plans at Ewood Park and does not want him to leave but the player has hardly figured for Rovers this season and could move on in search of more regular first-team football.
Moyes rates Jansen highly and the Toffees boss could offer the player a short-term deal until the end of the season with a view to something more permanent - depending on how he performs - at a later stage.
Moyes is sure to step up his search for a new striker as the chances of landing first choice target Robbie Keane appear to be diminishing. Keane is scoring regularly for Spurs who have lost Jermain Defoe to a ankle injury and are therefore reluctant to let him go.
