It's the new jopb I got (so I thought), they are making an issue about my sickness record in my last job. I was off for a long time, totally genuinely and with medical records to back it up, it was 8 bloody months ago and now this new employer is making an issue of it, I am so pissed off it's not real, if I don't get the job I am financially in the ****e

bbboooo!!! as long as u have the records an evrythin to back urself up surelly he cant take the offer of the job away as a result! maybes hes just makin a point of bringing it up to u to encourage u nit to be off in ya new job!!!!

I find out by end of tomorrow at latest, I am just really fed up, don't feel like I can get a break at the moment, it's not the sort of stress I need this time of year. the offer was "subject to reference" so i suppose they can be as bastardy as they like

hmm... i'll have a word with the missus... she works on hr... i think they can only retract there offer if the refernce makes out you are a lazy get... i do hope i never need a reference off this lot!!

Cheers mate. that's the thing Rich, I know for a fact (been told) both my referees will say I am excellent at my job, I didn't think they could refuse you a job on the basis of past attendance, if it is genuine absence. Feels like I am being punished for having had a long term illness, as if that wasn't bloody punishment enough!

Im with u Oz, dont think they can take away a position based on ur attendence from ur last job if it was with a genuine illness!

I am hoping it is just procedural, and they just need to go through the motions. If they turn round and tell me I can't have the job they are getting both barrels down the phone
